Guest guest
Well now this is something! I was JUST watching QVC (hubby hides the telephone when I start watching that show!) and they had a set of two of these guys. I was shocked at how much hard cheese and zest one could produce with no skinned knuckles!!! -Helen this looks like a smaller and not so fancy version of the microplaner you guys have been talking about, its a wood rasp, same deal actually a woodworking tool - http://www.leevalley.com/garden/page.asp?SID= & ccurrency=2 & page=32458 & category=2,\ 40733,44734 it is outstanding for zest, great idea for the waxes as well, guess i will get another one! this is an amazing catalog by the way for gadgets and

My new 'ribbon' model makes chocolate curls. Leevalley is great. I did a websearch years ago, when I found out Crazy Old Martha Stewart had the planes for $18! They charged around $8, IIRC. Maybe they look at Martha's site, and decide to sell the goodies at a reasonable price. we both came to the world of eos late in >life through work and are utterly self taught if you can even call it that, >well hope to contribute a few tidbits here and there = > >Martha Gandley Glad to see you here, Martha, and be prepared to have your wallet shrink as you lemming various items discussed here (like the microplane) and get in on co-ops for great prices on aromatic products.http://member.newsguy.com/~herblady
Guest guest
So, speaking of tools, I've been wanting a soap planer or jeweler to trim the edges of my handcut soaps. I'm wondering...... could I just buy the blade and have hubby build one? Or does anyone know where to get one at a decent price? Guest guest
Try www.forcraftssake.com. They have a nice one for very inexpensive. It doesn't waste a lot of soap, but it does a nice job and the bars are nice and even. I've tried potato peelers and others, but I like this one the best.
