Okay, I'll start, I know Marge and Chris have wonderful cooking ideas, so

i'll leave that to them!

1. I'm using it now for conjunctivitis

2. Cool it and use it for hot flashes or just to spray your face on a hot day

3. Use it to make your hair shine

4. Use it to make your dog's coat shine

5. Use it to wash " ouches "

6. Use it as a mild astringent

7. Use it to help mix your creams

8. Use it to help make your soaps

**********************************************

How's that for astart?

Hello everyone, I am seriously thinking of taking

advantage of Butch's Hydrosol Madness Sale and I love

the idea of Rose Hydrosol, but I have to justify it to

myself. Can anyone give me some good therapeutic (or

just plain cool) uses of Rose Hydrosol? Thanks,

Christina in Denver

Do you use this neat in the eyes as a wash or what?

This makes great sense! Sounds heavenly too.

But is that basically what you do for the uses listed

below too?

Thanks again. And where might I get more info? Any

preferred books on Hydrosol therapeutic uses?

BTW I went out and ordered myself some along with some

Vitex EO. Thanks for the justifications, it was all I

needed ;-)

I make confections with it like marzipan, a Turkish pudding called

Azure, the candy Turkish delights, an Indian dessert called galub jamun

(the syrup for it), etc ...

I've got a candy recipe or two that uses it in the Spring Newsletter

http://home.earthlink.net/~chrisziggy/spring/intro.htm

And an ice cream recipe with it in there in last summer's newsletter

There's one book out about hydrosols by Suzanne Catty, but some of the

info is inaccurate.

It is the most amazing stuff. I love it. And I fell even MORE in love

with it than I used to be after getting to splash some on my face fresh

out of the still

and dump a whole huge jug of it in my bathwater (don't have that picture

;)

Hopefully next year I'll go to Turkey for the rose harvest and

distillation again!

I'm an EO newbie, and am just beginning my first assortment of hydro's. I splash

the rose on my face after washing it and before applying moisturizer. Wait for a

few minutes after you splash it on. You will really feel the difference, your

face tightens up in a good way.

Now, I like to put my face oil on while my face is still damp from spritzing

on the rose hydrosol. You get a soft skin like you never thought you could

have -- ahhh, so lovely!
