Guest guest
Hi, I received this email from a local school teacher.... I am interested in finding out if I can sell your products & how can I be involved. Let me know if it is possible & of any details. Now, I have no experience AT ALL, with this type of situation, so I thought I'd throw it out to the group, to see what everyone thinks about this. I need pro's and con's and also an idea on what kind of setup to use. Should I offer her a percentage of total sales? should I sell to her wholesale ? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Carol
Guest guest
Hi Carol, Wholesale selling will probably make your life the easiest. That way you get paid up front for product and just require her to buy a certain amount of stuff to get wholesale pricing - like either a " case lot " of product, or a bulk size for repackaging herself. If you start getting into commissioned individual product sales it gets to be a pain, cause she gets product up front and then pays you after its sold. Its almost as bad as consignment. You have to keep track of it all and be sure your product doesn't get damaged or dirty, etc ... and oh its just a hassle ;-p Only other thing I can think of is if she wants to be a broker for your line, and basically be a professional sales marketer who gets stores and the like to buy your items wholesale for resale and takes the orders on paper. At that point you pay her a commission on total sales, and then you are responsible for fulfilling the orders and all. Just my two cents. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Carol Pearce [cjpearce] Hi, I received this email from a local school teacher.... Guest guest
Sorry, for taking so long to reply, I wrote this lady an email asking her what she sees herself doing within my company. I guess I scared her away, lol.. She didn't respond. Thanks for your help, appreciate it.
