Hello! I'm new to the list. I'm Sue, from Indiana. A friend of

mine got me interested in essential oils a few years ago, and just

recently when I found out I would be having surgery I got REAL

interested! I've been trying/using a lot of oils in the recovery

process and learning a lot. Another friend (Becky) has been

encouraging me & giving me some GREAT bath salts and candles, and

also gave me Butch's site. (Thanks, Becky!! :) After a couple of

orders and several questions Butch encouraged me to join the list.

So here I am! (Thanks, Butch!! :) I'm really impressed with the

information I've seen so far. A LOT of good expertise here! My

main interests are,

First, suggestions for Oils for long term recovery from surgery

(hysterectomy, about 7 weeks out now). Doing well but at this point

my doctor (who really did a great job to this point) has absolutely

nothing to offer to optimize the long-term healing process. At 6-8

weeks you're pronounced " healed " and " ready to go back to

work " , " off restrictions " and all that, and out of the OTHER side of

their mouths you hear that healing will take the better part of the

next 11 months or so. I know that even though I'm doing well, my

body is still going through a lot of changes and I've still got a

ways to go to truely get back to " normal " (if there is such a

thing!! :)

And, I'm REALLY interested in cooking with essential oils. I've

tried a little bit-- I made some GREAT tuna salad with olive oil,

tarragon, oregano, basil, black pepper. And I've used some of the

same for bread dips and dressings. I'm really interested to hear

more ideas, recipes and experiences with this!

Thanks so much!

--Sue
