Talita, our daughter didn't have trisomy 9 but she had a CCAM on her lung so I totally related (and cried) about the doctors and ultrasounds. Ironically enough that isn't why she died. She died of a placental abruption. Do you mind if I " borrow " those poems that you have on that page?? I loved all three but especially this one The mention of my child's name may bring tears to my eyes but it never fails to bring music to my ears. If you are really my friend, let me hear the beautiful music of my child's name. It soothes my broken heart and sings to my soul. Thanks for sharing your story. Guest guest
Karen--Of course I wouldn't mind you using those poems at all. I certainly don't have ownership rights to them, and I think they should always be used to bring whatever comfort they can. Sometimes I wonder if I had known more about AT then, if I could have eased Jacob's dying some with some sort of comforting blend in a diffuser. Oh, well. Who knows, and the truth is that I have had so many " what ifs " that I could drive myself crazy if I dwell on it too much. :-) Thanks for writing, and I am so very sad to hear that you have also lost a little one.
