The first ones I made were paraffin candles. I plan on making some soy candles with the wax next week. It's hard finding just the right amount of Fwax to normal wax... But it's coming out about 1 ounce per pound to give a GOOD cold throw. In fact, I JUST lit a floating Orange Blossom candle... I want to see what the throw is like on it. Guest guest
Have any of you soaped with your Floral Waxes yet? What blends did you use? Have you made lotions or creams? What did you mix together. Just asking for some great ideas to use these wonderful waxes. Warmly, Bobbye
Guest guest
Hey Bobbye, I have to go and dig into my notes. I've been playing around with them a bit, but really haven't done enough playing over the past few weeks due to being under the weather (blah! curses to these colds! . As soon as I get a chance I'll both post some recipes and play more to make some new recipes! Meanwhile check out the recipes section at http://www.makeyourowncosmetics.com . They list quite a few recipes with floral waxes in them. You can get some nice ideas over there. *Smile* Chris http://www.alittleolfactory.com bwstegen [bwstegen] Have any of you soaped with your Floral Waxes yet? What blends did you use? Guest guest
I made some cuticle butter yesterday with some of mine. So you can make as much as you want I'll post recipe in %. 20% Beeswax 5% floral wax ( I had Rose) 15% Brittle Oil (like Cocoa Butter, Palm Kernal[i used Cocoa Butter]) 40% liquid oil( I infused 35% with Fractionated Coconut with Calendula, Chamomile and Lavender, then addeld 5% Rose hip seed oil) 20% Solid at Room Temp oil ( I used Shea Butter) Melt all together and pour into small jars or tins. This came out very hard. Next time I'll either cut back on the beeswax or up my liquid oil. Happy experimenting! Anita in TX
