Hi Everyone,

I just had an experience that I wanted to share with you all. In my

love and zeal for aromatherapy and desire to share knowledge and promote

safety, I made a horrendous error. After acquiring Martin Watt's Plant

Aromatics, I

felt it was filled with such wonderful information that my customers would

benefit from it. This was not my error, however the error was my ignorance as

to what is necessary to properly share this information. I used some of the

information from Plant Aromatics on my web site and at the bottom of each page

where it was used I placed " safety information compiled from Plant Aromatics by

Martin Watt, copyright 2001. " Today in my e-mail I received the following

e-mail from Martin:

" I have just discovered that you are reproducing data in contravention of

the copyright notices in Plant Aromatics.  This is an infringement of

both my own copyright and the copyright granted to me by the original

publishers.

Please therefore remove all that data. Failure to comply will result in

notices on all the newsgroups as well as legal action.

Martin Watt "

I thought I had honored Martin's Copyright by acknowledging where the

information came from. Plagerism and copyright infringment were never and

have never been an intent of mine. I have since removed the information from

the

web site and issued an earnest apology to Martin. I am sick over this and

would not want anyone to have a shock like this in their e-mail or worse via a

solicitor at their door. My zeal has gotten the best of me. I am thankful

Martin was kind enough to notify me personally and afford me the opportunity to

rectify the error.

Martin, please take this e-mail as a public apology for my ignorance.

Theft was never my intention, only sharing with proper acknowledgment for

your hard work. Again, I am sorry.

Sincerely and regretfully,

Bill
