I'm not 100 percent sure about the Vanillin though. I hope this helps. Guest guest
I have a natural vanilla that I picked up in Mexico. The ingrediants are agua, alcohol, extracto de vainilla pura, azucar, vanillin, color caramelo. I don't know spanish so I am not sure about a lot of these ingrediants. It says it is natural and organically grown but I just wanted to ask those of you that know more about this than I do. Even though it is actually made for cooking and such could it be used in skin care products and/or perfume? It has a wonderful aroma to it. If this is not good for that I read in an aromatherapy book to make a tinture of vanilla bean pods and 95% ethyl alcohol. I don't know the quanity of each and since I know very little about making tintures, what would you suggest? Just how easy is it make a vanilla tinture? Or I could buy vanilla absolute but it is a little expensive. Sorry about all the questions but I just want to try to prevent a costly mistake. I am trying to make my own perfume, lotions, lip gloss, etc. Thanks in advance for all your help. Nancy
