Introduction

Hello all!

 

I've been lurking on here for a while now, but once I saw that Vicki

Younger came out of the lurker's closet, and we keeping rubbing

shoulders on different lists (lucky for me!), I decided I was being a

wimp, and so...here I am!

 

I'm Anne, 45 (a mom of two great kids), and an American living in

France, married to a Frenchman. At first I was worried about that

detail and this list...and that's why I lurked for quite a while, but,

well, that's all I'm really going to say about it, so I just won't go

off topic into politics etc And on another list, when it got too hot,

I just left the kitchen (but then that was a cooking list...!)

 

After all that, I will continue to lurk a lot because I'm just a

" user " ...and I'm very humbled and impressed by all the knowledge and

open sharing of information that flows around here. I doubt that I'll

be able to add much and it's too bad I live so far away because I do

have a beautiful Wisteria that is about 100 years old, blooms sometimes

three times a year and has climbed over three stories high! I would be

so happy to provide cuttings, but I doubt they would survive the trip.

 

I'm an EO user (I enjoyed the top ten lists - loves and hates) and am

very interested in making my own personal care products which use them.

I am also " getting into " (in a painful way for my pocketbook...)

herbs. I wouldn't grow them here as I live in a city (Versailles), but

I have started to hunt out the herb shops in Paris - it's a fun pastime.

 

It was one of Butch Owen's long but so entertaining emails posted on

another forum (with his approval, I'm told) that led me to this list.

So if there's a bit of room on the porch, I hope you don't mind if I

stop a while.

ps Oh...I almost forgot...what really caught my attention was

discussion about a certain EO producer out in Utah. I was introduced

to EOs by someone who is really into GY and YL, but I have always been

very skeptical, although at first that is where I got the oils I use.

I have to say that I like them, although expensive, but I don't like

everything else all around the oils, if that makes sense. Now I get my

oils here in pharmacies or in the natural health shops. Anyway,

whenever that topic comes up, I am all (electronic) ears...
