By " green myrtle " I am assuming you are talking about the plant known as " True Myrtle " which is a plant that goes by the botanical name Myrtus communis. Here is a picture of me sitting in a Myrtus communis bush in Turkey http://www.av-at.com/stuff/mvc00001.jpg In fact, this page has a BUNCH of Wild Myrtus communis pics I took while in Turkey! http://www.av-at.com/stuff/aromaticplants.html " Lemon Myrtle " on the other hand is a totally different plant that goes by the botanical name of Backhousia citriodora. I hope that cleared up any confusion *Smile* Chris (list mom) Hydrosol Sale - This Week ONLY! http://www.alittleolfactory.com
Guest guest
Yes, the lemon myrtle seems to have similar actions to tea tree and is apparently more pleasant with its lemony scent. Lots of oils are anti-microbial but not all have the nice smell. The true myrtle seems to be more limited in use...astringent and more for skin. Hope my conclusions are correct.
