Hi Michael,

I'm running busy, packing up some orders and tending to domestic duties

afore I hit the hay for the evening, but I figured I'd answer this part

of your question really quickly ...

By " green myrtle " I am assuming you are talking about the plant known as

" True Myrtle " which is a plant that goes by the botanical name Myrtus

communis.

Here is a picture of me sitting in a Myrtus communis bush in Turkey ;)

In fact, this page has a BUNCH of Wild Myrtus communis pics I took while

in Turkey!

" Lemon Myrtle " on the other hand is a totally different plant that goes

by the botanical name of Backhousia citriodora.

I hope that cleared up any confusion :)

Yes, the lemon myrtle seems to have similar actions to tea tree and

is apparently more pleasant with its lemony scent. Lots of oils are

anti-microbial but not all have the nice smell.

The true myrtle seems to be more limited in use...astringent and more

for skin. Hope my conclusions are correct.
