Guest guest
Attended an Herbal Forum this weekend at Festival Hill in Round Top, TX . Know there are those of you out there that live in the south and want an organic way of killing FIRE ANTS!! Well, here are the ingredients, but I will have to play with it. Manure tea-- (Manure[cow?] and water- let set for a week or two, then pour off water[tea]) Molasses Sweet Orange Oil Now like I said, I don't know the portions, but am going to start the tea this afternoon, so will let you know in a couple of weeks what I came up with, and if it works. Isn't suppose to work overnight like some of the commercial stuff does, but the lady who gave us the ingredients said it did work!! Guest guest
WAHOO! Thanks Anita, I'm gonna try this out in my yard :-D I'll add it to my favorite successful Fire Ant Killer - BOILING WATER. So, let me get this straight, I make a poop and orange scented tea concoction to pour it over the ant mounds, right? I guess the poop and orange scent blend will be reminiscent of the use of those orange bathroom sprays, huh? Heck, sometimes that scent combo is enough to make ME want to die, so why wouldn't it work on the ants? *ROFL* Well, I'll try it and I might even heat it up to be good and hot before I pour it over the evil creatures, that'll guarantee it to work even quicker than overnight. Hehehehehe (evil sinister laugh >:-}> ) *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Anita Reeves [anita-r] Attended an Herbal Forum this weekend at Festival Hill in Round Top, TX .. Guest guest
Hi Bill, Yeah, actually, upon further thought I figured maybe I'll use my boiling water method and THEN pouring the orange poop tea over the area .... I agree with your stink concerns over heating it up ... I remember how the house smelled the time I rendered fat (had the strangest craving for McDonald's for days - and I never crave McDonald's *lol*) *Smile* Chris (list mom) Neroli Co-op - One Week Only! http://www.alittleolfactory.com seraphimstouch [seraphimstouch] Wednesday, March 31, 2004 6:44 AM Re: Fire Ant Killer!!
