And its very difficult to enforce. Making laws is nice but who will

enforce them? I have an article that states the IRS backs off of tens

of thousands of known tax violations each year due to an insufficient

number of investigators .. and the courts are booked solid with more

serious cases .. plus prosecutors see no advantage in spending the same

amount of time prosecuting Mickey Mouse crap as they would far more

important crimes against persons and property .. and the citizens of the

USA won't tolerate more government spending unless they see personal

gain from it .. we pee and moan about the Homeland Security funding now

and that is far more critical. Its a vicious circle.

State Spam Laws

State Spam Laws pertain to e-mails sent from within the state .. IF you

can identify them. Then who prosecutes?

To date, AOL is the first to prosecute and its costing them big bucks.

The ACLU objects to the prosecution as a violation of the rights of the

spammers.

I receive hundreds of pieces of Spam daily and lately a number of them

are using MY e-mail address to Spam me. How they do that is a mystery

to me as I'm not so knowledgeable about this area of commo .. but the

fallout is that I can't Black List them without Black Listing myself.

We can write to elected officials .. it won't hurt to bombard them with

e-mail .. and maybe something will happen in the future. It must happen

or we will lost total control of the I-Net. I expect the elected cats

are as fed up with it as we are.

But I don't think we'll see a lot of action until it becomes unbearable;

until it becomes totally unmanageable and the servers take action.

Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
