I really liked that Butch. Gives one much to consider. I know when I was

in school, they took away prayer time, and replaced it with a moment of

silence. If you wanted to pray, you could, if you didn't, you just sat

quietly.

Then they removed Bible study class.....even though a good deal of students

wanted to take the course.

It's amazing what we are ALLOWED to do, and what we can't.....

Candy in AL....with just my 2 cents. :)

Being as State and Religion should not mix .. it seems to me that State

making laws that pertain to religion is sorta mixing. Matters not what

we believe as individuals .. matters only that we be fair in application

of laws and that we ensure equality under those laws even if they should

not have been made in the first place. If folks who object to prayer do

not want to pray they should have that right .. and vice versa. Madilyn

the Con Artist O'Hare is dead; murdered by one of her partners in crime

and buried in a shallow grave .. good it is .. may the worms have fun.

But her twisted, disgruntled legacy lives on .. liberals still interpret

" progressive " as meaning they must change traditional American values.

I won't get into the weird crap some Americans accept as normal today ..

no need to as you folks know already .. and whether you accept the major

changes as good or bad matters not .. but we must be fair in application

of laws that should not have been made in the first place.

Now I sit me down in school

Where praying is against the rule

For this great nation under God

Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,

It violates the Bill of Rights.

And anytime my head I bow

Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,

That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.

The law is specific, the law is precise.

Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall

Might offend someone with no faith at all.

In silence alone we must meditate,

God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,

And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.

They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.

To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,

And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.

It's " inappropriate " to teach right from wrong,

We're taught that such " judgments " do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,

Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.

But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,

No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,

When chaos reigns the school's a mess.

So, Lord, this silent plea I make:

Should I be shot; My soul please take!

Amen
