Guest guest
Hello everyone, I have a friend who has a plantar's wart and does not have a benefit plan to cover the cost of medication to treat it. She is working at a minimum wage job and it takes pretty much her whole paycheque to pay the rent. She is in a lot of pain with the position of the wart but can't get time away from work to even get any treatment done to it, even if she could afford it. I would like to try and put something together that will at least help her. Does anyone have any good ideas be they essential oil blends or otherwise? Even old wives tales would be good if you think that they would help. thanks for your input, Dorothy Take Care and Talk to you soon! Guest guest
Hi there - I had a wart on my foot, and successfully treated it by using a combo of clove bud oil, red thyme, and oregano oils neet on the wart. Be very careful - this is a VERY powerful combo - very agressive! But they are anti-viral, and I wanted to get rid of that painful thing. I applied 1 drop ONLY TO THE WART, then used castor oil to cover it, and then applied a bandade. I did this morning and night for about 4-5 days, and it took care of the wart. When I was a child, and had a wart on my hand, my family doctor told me to apply just castor oil to it and cover it with a bandade - it turned black and fell off after a couple of weeks. So if you want to go the less agressive route - there's the altenative. Probably better treatment for a wart in other areas than the foot - and if you have health problems such as diabetes. Guest guest
As reported in Vegetarian Times Feb. 2004 issue: " Although cryotherapy (freezing) is often prescribed for wart removal, a recent study concluded that ordinary duct tape is significantly more effective. The study, published in the October 2002 issue of the Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, required patients to wear duct tape over their warts for 6 days. Researchers then removed the duct tape, soaked the affected area in water and used emery boards or pumice to slough off extra skin. They then reapplied the tape and continued the treatment until the wart went away, which took between 10 days and 2 months. The duct tape irritated the warts, which apparently caused an immune system reaction that attacked the growths. Even better, " Duct tape is obviously cost-effective and accessible to everyone, " says Judy Hutt, a naturopath in Tuscon, Arizona. " .
