Guest guest
Hi Janet, I just love this one. My Mom sang it to me many nights as I went to sleep and for the last oh...almost 15 years now I have sang it to my children almost nightly. I love it I suppose because it holds such fond memories for me. Thanks for sharing it! I never did know the second verse to it. I'll have to practice that. Margaret (who's 1/2 Irish) >TOO-A-LOO-RA-LOO-RAL > That's An Irish Lullaby > >Over in Killarney >Many years ago, >Me Mither sang a song to me >In tones so sweet and low. >Just a simple little ditty, >In her good ould Irish way, >And I'd give the world if she could sing >That song to me this day. > >Chorus: > " Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li, >Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, hush now, don't you cry! >Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, Too-ra-loo-ra-li, >Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral, that's an Irish lullaby. " > >Oft in dreams I wander >To that cot again, >I feel her arms a-huggin' me >As when she held me then. >And I hear her voice a -hummin' >To me as in days of yore, >When she used to rock me fast asleep >Outside the cabin door. > >Recorded by Bing Crosby _______________ Get business advice and resources to improve your work life, from bCentral. http://special.msn.com/bcentral/loudclear.armx
