Guest guest
A while back there was a thread on reducers. I was following it and I did check out some of the sites for purchasing them. However - being a public school kid who hated math and cried her way through every year and was always advanced much to her chagrin - I can't figure out what size bottles I have in order to know what size reducers to buy. I have 4 oz bottles of oils ... is there a universal system to knowing bottle opening sizes? I must have blonde roots...any info would be appreciated. Next to each size bottle they put the size cap necessary. Then go to the reducer area and look there and you will see the cap size. That is how to find the correct cap size. I have bought some of each that fit the 18mm so that I can have the different hole sizes in the reducer (thin, thick, medium, very thick). I don't see any reducers for the 4 oz bottles there. They use a cap size of 22-400. What I do is use a disposable pipette with the larger size bottles or dispense then into the smaller sizes. Using 5, 10 & 15 ml as that is the size I sell them in. That way I don't have to put nitrogen in the larger bottles. Also I only have a small bottle open at a time for my use in blending. Guest guest
Hey blondie roots In my experience, USUALLY the reducers are not fitted for US neck bottles, just the Euro Droppers, which are ml size necks At least that is through the supplier I use most. But I hope I am wrong here. There very well might be a supplier with US bottle neck size reducers available. if anyone knows of one, please come forward and share Good luck! *Smile* Chris (list mom - entertaining a house guest - a friend I've not seen in about 7 yrs who came to visit me, so please pardon my scarceness http://www.alittleolfactory.com Dale Bernucca [DBernucca] Friday, March 05, 2004 9:30 PM Reducers A while back there was a thread on reducers. Guest guest
Dear Dale, One of the bottle supply co's, has a sheet. Sorry I at this time don't know where mine is. You turn your bottle upside down on the sheet. It tells you which size each bottle uses. Wish I could be more help, just know whenever I needed caps, if I hadn't been ordering often I refer to the chart. Check out the supply co's, the sheet should be free. I have never seen orifice reducers for anything larger than a one ounce bottle...and the one ounce are specifically made to work with this reducer, they aren't a 'standard' neck size. I would LOVE to be able to put reducers in the larger bottles when we have a bulk order... if any one finds them somewhere, please let us all know.
