Guest guest
I have received the coconut absolute sample from White Lotus Aromatics. I have to admit it's yummy. I'm not a big coconut fan but I could VERY easily come to like this. Christopher at WLA describes the abs. as: " Coconut Absolute is usually a pale yellow, dark yellow or brownish yellow colored viscous liquid or low-melting solid, waxy mass(which is the case with this absolute) It has a peculiar frutty-fatty, fresh and light(nutty) yet tenacious odor. Coconut Absolute is an interesting material in the hands of an experienced and artistic perfumer for his work in unconventional perfumery. Floral fragances such as jasmin, lily of the valley, ylang, etc and in particular gardenia as well as fruity notes may be excitingly lifted of modified with this unusual perfume material. It blends well with ambrette seed oil, clove bud oil, cognac oil, neroli oil, sweet orange oil.. " Could you just immagine a coconut-neroli bath salt to pamper yourself or a sweet orange-coconut perfume? I'm going to enjoy this for sure! I would describe the scent as round, sweet, smokey, soft, and definitely a mild toasted hint to it. I agree with and earlier post that it reminds me a little of a coconut cake that has toasted coconut on it. This is a beautifully subtle absolute. I'd say it would be fairly easy to work with overall. I will be posting the co-op/fast buy next week.
