Guest guest
My wee little one is one whole year old today! *snuffle* We're going to make a carrot cake with applesauce to sweeten it and I'm even going to *gasp* make a little cream cheese icing with maple syrup to sweeten that (he doesn't eat sugar or cow dairy yet, so it'll be a wee little one time treat My 4 yr old tells me that carrots and apples don't belong in cake for birthdays, just chocolate *lol* ;-p Silly kid! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com

Guest guest
Hey Chris! Happy Birthday to the baby!! I know just how you feel, though. Mine is now 7 and it seems like just yesterday I was rocking him to sleep! I can't believe how fast the time goes! I'm going through 'baby fever' in a REALLY bad way right now and have recently been told by 2 different doctors that I'm gonna have to have a hysterectomy due to fibroid tumors. This DOES NOT help my emotional issues with the 'baby fever'. Hubby & I are contemplating adoption/foster parenting at the moment....but will still be awhile before we can do that due to home renovations. Oy...the joys, or rather 'struggles (good or bad), of motherhood! >) Hugs to you and your family! Kati

Guest guest
A belated happy birthday to him. Hope he had a great day. Has it been a year already? Jeez, time has flown. Would it be possible to get the recipe for the cake from you? Hubby's grandfather (89) is boderline diabetic now, and is not allowed sugar. But he loves his sweets and desserts. I'd like to make something for him the next time we go for a visit.
