Guest guest
www.needymeds.com This is a program run by drug companies to help people who spend over 10% of there income for prescription drugs or have no insurance. I haven't tried it, probably don't qualify and it is probably is set up to be a pain in the butt and humbling experience so people will give up and anyone who has been in a Social Security office can relate. No- I have no idea where the money comes from or if it is government funded ,but the government does have little " secret " programs out there. Drs have samples- ASK, ask about any programs, check out websites for a organization for your particular disease/disorder. Anyone will a sick loved one knows the pain, emotional and financial it creates for everyone. No our government is not perfect, but we are free, maybe too free but thats part of America. Don't take no for a answer- especially when the person is not in the position to say yes! Gea

Guest guest
Gea, You bet you should hit your Dr. up for samples. They get them for nothing and they sit there unless they give them out. Especially if it's a new medication that they want to put you on. I can't tell you how many times people fill a prescription only to find out that they can't take it. The pharmacy can't take it bake so that money goes down the drain along with the pills. Ask for samples before you fill it. I recently had my Migraine medication changed and had him give me samples of it first. I'm glad I did because I can't take it. It makes me feel really weird. Not dizzy exactly, just off kilter. So now I didn't waste that money.
