While England is not as far as Korea... we did take a cat with us from Travis Airforce base to the Philippines and back again... She hated us for days on both sides of the journey, but she too did okay... and this is a cat that HATED her kennel and HATED to go ANYWHERE. To prepare her for a trip, you put her in her Kennel (which were wooden in those days and smaller. Held the smell for DECADES), drive around the block so she could throw up and commence with the crapping session... it was horriffic... anyway, come home, clean out the kennel (no food in the morning on trip days), line it again with newpaper, place it in between the two kids (how we LOVED that) and start off... One hour later, you stop the car, put the cat on the leash, clean out the newpapers (and invariably Mouse would get it on the walls too, so the fragrances stayed with you) and place the lovely smelling kennel between the kids... cat now spends rest of the trip on mom's lap. Empty of everything. She did fine. She went with us from England to the States, return trip to the Philippines and a cross country move from Up State New York to Washington state (Federal Way, just south of Seattle). And these days Airlines are required to take better care of Animals when WE were doing the Airforce jaunt thing... Hope this helps some more! K Cheers!
