Guest guest
We shall have to set up the " Get Ylva To A Gathering " Fund Short of that ... I'm sure you have some other folks in your neck of the woods who are feeling the same way as you are. While important to remember, I'm sure a Holocaust Conference can't be all that fun and something to look forward to Maybe you could organize a small gathering for the more " creative " people in your area, and if it becomes an annual event who knows who you might end up attracting to it! Just an idea ... May your grumpy day go away and may you smile again sweet Ylva! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com ruby_mama2001 [ruby_mama2001] Kathleen - how far could it be between Silicon Valley and Berkley?? A hop, skip and jump maybee ;-P Try living on the other side of the wolrd, and see this absolutely wonderful event taking place. No such thing around here, that's for sure. Only " World Holocost Conference " and other such political correct issues. The only thing I have to look forward to, is the annual gardening fair - and that's not so very special if you ask me :-( Yeahhh, I feel very, very grumpy and is in such envy of those who live within hailing distance of Berkley, Bay Area...gnashing my teeth in frustration. Fragrant Blessings anyway, Ylva PS At least I found one thick book on kitchen gardening (heck, how to grow veggies and such, not have a garden in the kitchen..)and two slimmer ones on dog issues on sale, to brighten my day a little bit DS
Guest guest
Chris - I just love you girl!! I do have a special savings account, where the income from my sales goes, and that I'm saving to be able to travel to the US in some faraway future, to meet my online friends IRL. Needless to say, the income is not very much to cheer over. but this upcoming year, I realy have to make an effort to get my budding business of the ground - just have to figure out how to get it done... I have it confiremed that I'm going to be on sickleave for quite a while longer, so I'd better get something for my brain to exercise with ;-) Even though it would be a creative idea to organize a gathering here (there actually is an yearly gathering of Nordic soapmakers in the Norwegian city of Tinn), it would not be the same. 1) cause there are no expericened perfumers to be found here (like our wonderful Gail) and the 2)AT business, well it's not very big. The largest company that sells all kind of ingrediences including EO's (it's called Crearome), well - in my opinion their stuff isn't all that great. That's why I'm pestering you all to be in on coops and such LOL. 3) I'm not the right person (just now) to do any organizing of anything, jeeezzz, I would end up in some severe panic attacs just during the planning... 4) My heart longs to avtually see and meet all these wonderful people and learn from them IRL, to smell all produce of fresh distilling, Gails blendings, listening to Christopher from White Lotus ... very heavy sigh. On top of that - California climate is a loooong way from teh Swedish one... BTW, I realy realy loved Lisa's poster for the event and I truly admire her creativity and drive, but that she knows already :-D Fragrant Blessings, Ylva
