Guest guest
Hey Helen, > Thanks for posting this, Butch. I watched Mel's interview last week and > the man did this film from his heart. I have seen him interviewed many > times (I am a BBC freak and they seem to love him) the interviews is what > actually caused me to start appreciating the man (I was never a fan of his > acting ability). Welcome fer'shur .. and I would have enjoyed seeing that interview. > Paul Harvey is also a favorite of mine. I always learn something when I listen to him. Not sure when he was born but he began his career in radio in 1933 while still in high school so I reckon he has to be around 87-88 years old. He joined the US Army Air Corps after Pearl Harbor and served till 1944 and now Paul Harvey News is the largest one-man network in the world, consisting of over 1200 radio stations, 400 Armed Forces Network stations that broadcast around the world, and 300 newspapers. I love his comment about his age .. " When the engine's running, don't check the carburetor. " ;-) The old boy is controversial .. but he still rules the airwaves. > We plan to TRY to see the movie tomorrow evening but it all depends on > hubby's knee . . . nearly 2 months since the replacement and healing is > slow!! -Helen Wishing him well I am .. and hoping y'all make the movie. :-) Butch > If you read this at all .. please read it as a Movie Review .. before > the fact. I am looking forward to seeing the film. Mel Gibson has > never, in my opinion, made a bad film. :-) Butch
