Hi Shelley,

> Wow! I had not read those. Thank you for sending both commentaries.

Welcome fer'shur. I love history .. I love all history. The life of

Jesus Christ is history .. its not a fantasy .. same for the life of

Mohammed and many other great people. I choose to not comment on my

personal religious leanings except to say that I am most impressed by

Native or First American beliefs .. and was raised as a Suthran Fried

Baptist .. but history is history .. and I like Mel Gibson. ;-P

> I have watched NUMEROUS previews of the movie, but have yet to see it, of

course. I am planning on going to see it this weekend if the crowds permit.

I think that Paul Harvey (conservative as he is .. but a very

intelligent man) was trying to give a balanced view against some

extremist criticism of the movie .. and I appreciate his perspective.

> I was gripped and crying at the previews I saw. The movie is truly powerful.

I am so excited about seeing it.

The life of Jesus Christ is a short and dynamic story. The evolution of

Christianity is a story that begins long after his death. I am happy to

live now in a country where a lot of that evolution occurred. :-)

>>From Road Warrior to present, I have yet to see a bad MG movie.

Mel Gibson is a fine actor .. and in my opinion, a fine man. Butch

Thanks for posting this, Butch. I watched Mel's interview last week and the man

did this film from his heart. I have seen him interviewed many times (I am a

BBC freak and they seem to love him) the interviews is what actually caused me

to start appreciating the man (I was never a fan of his acting ability). Paul

Harvey is also a favorite of mine. I always learn something when I listen to

him.

We plan to TRY to see the movie tomorrow evening but it all depends on hubby's

knee . . . nearly 2 months since the replacement and healing is slow!!

If you read this at all .. please read it as a Movie Review .. before

the fact. I am looking forward to seeing the film. Mel Gibson has

never, in my opinion, made a bad film. :-) Butch
