Well....for what its worth ... and probably not much .. I ordered the tiniest

bottle from Butch...cause I was a 'skeptic'... and actually - this subject is

not one I'd really rather talk about :-) ... so I'm assuming they're are many

out there such as I :-) ...... however... upon getting the golden vial I decided

that 'just in case' something really weird might happen..I'd just sniff the

tiniest bit....after all..if I WAS really going thru menses...then I sure didn't

want a full blown set back to girlhood either! LOL.... so I waited until 'that'

day ... and sniffed 3x very quickly...and the next day...and the

next....well...much to my surprise ... NO cramping (and I'm usually out of

commission for an entire day), no fatigue...no nothing...well...not quite...

instead of >> 2 << days...a full 5.... hmmmmmmmmmmm so...did I sniff correctly?

not enough? who knows...all I know... is that SOMETHING happened..and the ease

was well worth the uhhhhh inconvenience :-)

Blessings,

Pam

Butch -- Vitex Question

Hi Debbie,

> Hi Butch,

> I am putting an order together in the next week or so b/c I need some

> stuff from you, and I had wanted to get some vitex for my mum to sniff.

I think that is a good idea .. if it helps it helps .. if, according to

all that has been written, she becomes intolerant and has nausea,

headache and such .. then she should probably stop sniffing.

> Which type is the one that has been so successful for the hot flashes?

Hard to say .. different strokes for different folks and I am somewhat

disappointed that some of the folks on this list who have written me

nice testimonials on their success have chosen to not come forward and

take a stand .. perhaps they don't want to be called foolish or have

their character slammed because they think and act differently than some

folks think they should.

There has been success with each .. the fruit, the leaf and the mixed.

The mixed is simply a 50/50 mix of the two. Cindy (the nurse who

provided the testimonial I sent to the list today) used fruit oil.

> You offer 3 kinds and I want to get the one that the testimonials have

> been about.

As stated, I have reports on all of them having been successful .. and

some reports from people who bought both that they thought the fruit was

a bit too strong for them. If it were my daughter wanting to try it for

the first time .. for PMS .. or an older lady who was a relative, I

think I would recommend they start with the mixed. It seems to me that

since there are results with both but a few people have stated that the

fruit was a bit strong for them .. that seems like a happy compromise.

feedback .. :-)

butch,

i appreciate you writing this. i am not currently a vitex user; so, i cannot

comment on that.

i do, however, value an environment in which each individual can freely express

him/herself, be it an opinion or providing a reference to a study or a personal

experience

of a herb/oil/nutritional supplement/bodywork modality/surgery, etc. i think the

important point is to be clear about the source of the information being

provided and the

grounds on which someone is providing that information. all of the above are

valuable

and readers have a right to know which is being provided. i realize that i

failed to do this

when i posted recently about uva ursi and cranberry. to have provided a

reference would

have made the information more useful to readers.

butch, i believe that you consistently do this. that is, provide a clear

indication of where

your communication is coming from -- i.e., opinion, customer testamonial,

clinical

experience of a professional, findings from a study. and, i appreciate this

clarity. i don't

always agree with your personal opinions. however, i do respect you and your

right to hold

and express those opinions. and, my disagreement with those opinions does not

cloud my

ability to receive and appreciate the other valuable information you generously

provide to

all of us.

i do not believe that all of the recent postings have maintained this clarity. i

have found

some of them to be personal attacks. i think some of them have been opinion

presented

as fact. i am more than willing to be proven wrong on this count. references

would be

helpful. initially, i had no intention of posting on any of this. fear of

getting caught in the

name calling contributed to my hesitation. then, i realized that that was a form

of self-

imposed censorship. your post compelled me to write.

i appreciate the tone of tolerance that chis has set and maintained for this

group. i believe

that there is a way to express divergent information and opinion in a respectful

way. i look

forward to that in the future.
