Dry skin brushing is a method of daily hygiene that

has many benefits and has been around for a long time.

The daily routine will:

-remove dried, dead cells that block pore, allowing

the skin to breathe and incresing its ability to

protect and eliminate the waste products of

metabolish.

-increase circulation of the blood and lynph vessels

that lie close to the surface.

-increase the nutrients to the skin. By clearing out

stagnant material, there will be an increase of

oxygen/carbon dioxide exchange and other nutrients,

vitamins, minerals and enzymes are also brought to the

area.

-decrease the work load on the rest of the body with

regard to circulation.

-make your skin warm.

Procedure:

Use a natural bristle body brush or a nylon bristle

brush before your bath or shower, though it can

replace your bath if you like.

Brush toward your heart. Start on the lower limbs,

arms, back, then front of the body. Use moderate

pressure with short strokes upward and inward. If you

have a soft complexion brush, brush the face using

circular motions.

Strokes should leave a slight pink color to the skin

or a slight tingling sensation. Never bruise, scrape

or brush hard.

One time is enough. You need to judge that. Be

careful if you have delicate skin, easily damaged

skin, open sores, bruises, or known malignancies of

the skin or lymph system. Listen to your body.
