Guest guest
Is everyone OK? I just read there was a really big, bad storm going on there, and they couldn't even keep the roads clear (the snow is that bad.) Storm surges, power outages, it sounds terrible! Of course if the power is out, no one will see this, but.... Stay safe and warm. JenB
Guest guest
It's a big one! Winds of 90Km - that's about 55 mph I think - and 10 cm of snow an hour for a while this morning. We still have power, though, so that is a blessing. The city (Halifax) is shut down but since the storm started during the night most people are safe at home. Clean up should be interesting tomorrow. As long as we don't have a storm surge like we had during Hurricane Juan we will be fine. Our shop is right on the harbour so storm surges are not good. I think Sandy will be having quite a time down her way. Thanks for caring, Allana - nsorcel Thursday, February 19, 2004 10:39 AM Big Canadian Storm/Nova Scotia people.... Is everyone OK? Guest guest
No problem, we are tough.....lol. Lots of wind and drifts everywhere. Power was out 3 times here, but not for long. There is about 5 feet of snow in the driveway, that won't be much of problem for us as BF has a backhoe. They had even delcared a 'state of emergency'. Thanks for thinking of us!
