Is anyone familiar with the use of sulfated castor oil (turkey red)

as a carrier for essential oil in baths? Is it safe? Does anything

else work to disperse oils in hot bath water?

Hi Michael,

The " Turkey Red " oil is actually soluble in water, so that is why it

makes a good dispersing agent. It is safe :)

I also find liquid soap to be a good dispersing agent in bath water too

(like bubble bath). Milk can be used too! In addition to those ideas,

here in one I used the other night. My older son (who is 4) was getting

the sniffles so I took some of my " champagne " bath salt base and added a

few drops of rosemary EO to it and he took a nice rosemary soak. It

seemed to disperse the oil pretty well too - no blobs of oil were to be

seen floating in that tub :)

I hope that gives you some ideas!
