I've been Dx'd with artritis in my neck, between the 4th and 5th, and

5th and 6th vertebrae. Are there any blends I can use to ease the

symptoms and/or slow/stop the development of the arthritis?

Thanks!

Karen :)

This I sure would be interested in. I have it from my neck all th way down my

spine.

Even though I do take medicines for it, the last Dr said there is nothing to

help.

Its just going to keep getting worse.

Thanks Nancy

Hi Karen, Nancy,

Look into the herb " Devil's Claw " (Harpagophytum procumbens). My

herbology teacher couldn't rave about it enough for arthritic issues of

all sorts. She stressed that it is the kind of thing that needs to be

taken for a while, and build up in the system to notice any effect, but

it is hailed as being very effective when taken properly. Also noted by

her is a formula by Herb Pharm called " Bone/Flesh/Cartilage " which she

liked to use in conjunction with the Devil's Claw herb.

To me, if nothing else, it'd be worth at least looking into the above

and getting some info about the herbs and formulas :)

Chris where do you get your devil's claw? Anything I buy in small

quantities, I just get locally at Whole Foods or a couple of other

stores down off Shepherd. One good one closed recently. :o(

Hi Chris:

Do these, or any other herbs, conflict with some of the prescriptions a

person is on? I do have a lot of trouble with old arthur and also the nerve

damage that exists in my right leg and foot. Have been walking more since I

got my new cocker pup and by the time I get back home, my big toe is numb

and my leg aches let alone my left knee that I have had surgery on twice.

It makes 'music' when I go up and down stairs, LOL.

Thank you much.

Blessings and love,

Effie

Another thing I thought of the other day about this - Acupuncture. I've

known so many folks who get acupuncture for various pain disorders,

including arthritis and SWEAR by it. My mother got Acupuncture for

migraines decades ago and to this day she is not plagued by them (only

on the rarest of rare occasions). In many cases it is covered by

insurance too!

Chris,

I've checked into acupuncture. My insurance won't pay for it, or about anything

else no a days.

Thanks Nancy
