Guest guest
I agree. In my childbirth class I have dads sew up a long cotton tube sock that is filled with rice. Their length makes them perfect for draping around the neck or doubling and using for counterpressure on the back (moms w/ back labor swear up and down it was the #1 comfort measure of choice). I always tell them to keep it in a plastic bag in the freezer and every few months they can rip the seam, empty out the rice/wash the sock, refill and reuse. Very inexpensive comfort tool. I will say that lavender, rose and mandarin/ginger have been top choices for those who choose to incorporate a bit of AT into their rice sock. I just got a few eye pillows (with flax seed) from Margaret and they sit very nicely on the eyes. Dale Rice works well for the heat packs, but the flax seeds are sooooo much nicer for the eye pillows! IMHO Pat
