Guest guest
Anyone here actually made their own effleurages? I am thinking of getting some nice tropical type lovely smelly flowering plants for my garden, and of course I'll want to make the most of them, including making effleurages. I just wanted to hear any experiences anyone here has had doing it Well, I'm off for the night! Its almost FRIDAY! Yay! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Before you criticize anyone first walk in their shoes two miles. That way, when you do criticize them, you are two miles away and you have their shoes.

Guest guest
I think you mean enfleurage .. as in the technique where one takes a fine mesh screen, spread rendered fat on it then layers flowers over it allowing the fat to absorb the scent/oils of the flowers then you pick the flowers off and put more on and repeat for days and days AND days on end until the fat is saturated with the scent/oil ... then you scrape the fat off heat it up, mix it with something then mix it with alchol after that's done to remove the first thing you mixed it with and then hopefully you end up with your final product of enfleurage? My details after the part of scraping the fat off are a little sketchy. After reading that one needs to spend at least a month of putting the flower petals on again and again I kinda lost just a bit of interest in trying it lol Effleurage is long smooth flowing stroke in massage :-) Bill Seraphim's Touch http://store.seraphimstouch.com Essential Oils, Carrier Oils, Bath Salts, and Lotions.
