herpes eliminated? was Help for a friend

What bothers me about this study is the claim that herpes is

curable, to my knowledge it is not.

- I am raising 2 teens, and the horrible lack of sex ed in school, I

do teach my children however it is a trend for teens to have oral sex

thinking that no harm can come of it- it literally took me weeks to

get my daughter to believe me and not her friends -so I find it scary

that some may believe that if there herpes has gone into remission

that they are cured.

My daughters almost 15 and many of her friends are sexually active

and not a bit scared of the consequences, my sister worked in a

planned parenthood clinic and so many young woman come in for the

morning after pill - no parental consent needed- unprotected sex no

biggie I will get a pill and be " safe "

She talked till she was blue in the face but the same kids came in

time after time.

I am not taking a stand on the methods , or any other

controversial debate- just that I find the claims in this study

disturbing from a mothers point of view
