Good thing John Edwards and his staff wasn't there.... http://www.nytimes.com/2004/01/31/politics/campaign/31EDWA.html " Mr. Edwards's colleagues in the plaintiffs' bar do not accept that analysis. " You find me a low C-section rate, " said Daniel B. Cullan, a doctor, lawyer and co-chairman of the trial lawyer association's birth trauma group, " and I'll show you children in wheelchairs. " I was just reading the birth story at the site. Baby B a breech and the work to keep her positioned. (((Tiffany))) Thanks for letting us know Chris!! Dale Hi All! First time at the computer. Thanks so much to everyone who sent their prayers and well wishes. As you may know, Rayna had to stay in the Neonatal ICU an extra week so the doctors could keep close tabs on her apnea. She was released yesterday, so the four of us (Rayna, Virginia, my Mom and I) are finally home. Whew! As for our encounter with the medical staff's opposition to vaginal births...I can only say we were shocked and appalled. I joked with Mom that the situation is reminiscent of the book " Brave New World " ...lol. But, really...it's no laughing matter when insurance companies aim to make vaginal birth obsolete, and Similac's Sales Reps have recruited every nurse on staff as a Pusher. I hope to have my next child in the privacy of my home. And it's so much fun, I hope I'll have lots of them! And hey, maybe one or two will grow up to be Obstetricians!
