Hey Chris,

I'm super glad you made this post.

I'm getting the same thing .. Martin is too .. I know a LOT OF PEOPLE

who are having mail bounced .. including some on this list who ordered

and their confirmation bounced to me .. but when I forwarded it to my

folks in Maryland and they resent it via their server .. it went thru.

My son is an IBM systems engineer .. we were talking about this via

email the other day. He said to me that basically .. email was always

problematic and lately it is even moreso. Not very encouraging this.

We won't be able to determine why an email bounces in all cases .. might

be a lack of temporary compatibility between servers .. or a temporary

shortcoming in a particular server .. but it happens and its happening

more often lately.

We can speculate that because 85% + (I read that .. will find it again

and post it) of the email in existence today is automated spam, and the

servers are trying to weed out an increasing number of viruses and

Trojans and such .. coupled with the fact that servers are taking on

more and more rs daily without an incremental increase in their

infrastructure .. there are going to be problems. And I think they will

get worse as time goes by.

I think the most important thing for us all to understand is that it is

NOT in our best interests to assume that because an email bounces that

the address we sent it to is not valid or down or whatever .. and even

moreso, its not wise to assume that not getting a reply from someone is

an indication that they didn't want to answer. It is wise to assume

they didn't get it .. and try again.

I have never refused to answer a person who ordered from me .. nobody in

the business is so stupid as to do such a thing .. but we can't answer

what we don't get.

So .. y'all .. if you think someone owes you an email .. please try

again. In my case, my email address seems to be more flaky than the one

for my company in Maryland .. so if I bounce .. please try them
