Guest guest
Hope everyone is having a great day so far...I am, but I also just got out of bed! hahaha! My 7yo son is home today with sinus problems. Woke up crying and has black eyes. It has been quite awhile since he has suffered from this problem & to be totally honest, I have forgotten what to do for him (naturally speaking, of course) as it has been so long. I know what works for me, but obviously, what works for me may harm him. So, I'm hoping you guys can give me some suggestions??? Thanks so much! Always in faith, Kati
Guest guest
Hi Kati, Here is what I do for my little 4 yr old when he gets sinus yuckies ... First I start giving him vitamin C powder - we use Gary Null's " Suprema C " . I usually give him about a tsp full every couple of hours. The kids version of mega dosing Then he gets Weleda " Echinacea Compound " 2 drops once an hour. I also make him up a little food with oregano oil in it. I put about 2-3 drops of oregano oil into about 10 ml of olive oil and mix a little bit of that into his scrambled eggs, pasta, soup, whatever I'm making him that the flavor goes well with. I also have him drink plenty of fluids. I diffuse a blend of eucalyptus and lemon myrtle. On top off all that I make sure that he gets a nice warm bath and rests plenty. I hope your little one feels better soon! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com Kati Toney [tktoney] Hope everyone is having a great day so far...I am, but I also just got out of bed! hahaha! Guest guest
Hey Kati, My 7yo son is home today with sinus problems. Try that mix that Butch posted the other day but use eucalyptus smithii instead of globus - Oregano Rosemary (cineole type) Eucalyptus smithii It is pretty darn good. Don't let him sniff from the bottle. Put one or two drops on a cosmetic pad, kleenex or handerchief and sniff from that. It may bother you to let him just sniff the essential oils so you could make up a blend and rub along the sinus routes. That is still close enough to his nose for him to breathe it in. For a blend I would put in a 1 oz bottle 1 drop Oregano 2 drop Rosemary (cineole type) 1 drop E. smithii The area to rub consists of the temples, under the cheek bones, in front of and in back of the ears and the nape of the neck. I also rub it into my forhead, especially in the area between my eyebrows but that may be too close to the eyes for him. You only need to rub a drop or two on him. The reason I said to use e. smithii is that the smithii is better for the very young and very old. Guest guest
For a child I would suggest Sweet Almond, Calendula or other oil that works for a youngster. --- Pat <eveningsongsoaps wrote: > Cheryl, what base oil? > > Pat > Chris, thanks for the reminder to trim the > posts! > Sorry, I'm one of the guilty ones. > > > > For a blend I would put in a 1 oz bottle > > > > 1 drop Oregano > > 2 drop Rosemary (cineole type) > > 1 drop E. smithii > > > > > ===== Cheryl Smith A Heavenly Body Anchorage AK 9950* (907) 222-0886 http://www.aheavenlybody.com Finance: Get your refund fast by filing online. http://taxes./filing.html
