Guest guest
Hi Guys, No this is not a question or rant about YL but thought I would share this. I had a young massage therapist here yesterday to learn about the safety essential oils. He works in the Alaskan Native Hospital's Acute Pain Clinic. I spent two hours going over all the toxicity, skin reactions, adverse affects, protecting the therapist etc etc. As he was leaving he sai, " With everything you taught me today about not using essential oils neat on the skin, what is your stand on Raindrop Therapy? " I almost started laughing but held it back and just told him, " I am vehemently opposed to Raindrop Therapy. My beliefs are to 'do no harm' and using any essential oil neat on the skin can cause harm. " I also told him I had a 1 inch binder full of information about Gary Young, Young Living and Raindrop Therapy and that when I taught the rest of his colleagues on the 28th of February a copy of the entire would be provided along with the class notes. He said that he would 'look through it'. Guest guest
And I will add something here too. I met a lady this week who was a doula who was " in to " YL and that really scared me because you are not only dealing with mothers but also their babies. I may have gone too far in expressing my concern for YL techniques but at least now she realizes that YL is NOT the only school of thought out there. Guest guest
Good for you Cheryl. I'm am stuck in a peculiar position right now. We all know how I LOVE a good rant. Well, of ALL things there is a YL distributor in my online Business Course. She started school when I started and has been in every class I've been in. In the first class she introduced herself, not mentioning the NAME of the company, just the usual crap about the best purest oils etc. I'm pretty sure she recognized me straight away, very chilly she's been... these last two classes she's come right out and used the company name and the usual crap spiel. Last class, I let it go. Didn't say a word. I was SO proud of meself... This time... well, I didn't say much either other than: " I also own an online aromatherapy Magazine called Aromatic Sage. I publish articles written by other people (thank GOODNESS I don't have to write much ;-) pertaining to all matters of aromatherapy from debunking well known myths and con artist companies to the newest information in research. " I know it's not much but it's the best I can do. There have actually been another person or two in each class in some way interested in Aromatherapy and I can't actually start an all out war...>sigh< as much as I'd like to. I'm starting to get the twitchies and foam at the mouth every time I enter the class now! ROFLMAO! Hope you all is well.. K Cheers! Guest guest
then you'll really shake your head when you read this: Mary Young Gives Birth At 58! I was on the conference call the other night with Gary Young and when asked he told us all about his new healthy baby boy who was born at 3:43 PM at 6 LB 5oz and is 19 1/2 " They have not yet decided on a name. Mary Young is 58 years young!! Gary shared with us that he diffused oils in the room, had Mozart music playing and very low lights. When the baby first came out Gary anointed his head with frankincense oil. Then when he laid the baby on Mary's tummy he rubbed more Frankincense and Idaho Balsam Fir all over his body. He put Myrrh oil on his umbilical cord and when the cord was cut, the baby was crying a whole lot. Gary then said he immediately put Trauma Life under his nose and on his chest and Highest Potential Oil blend on his crown and feet and he immediately took a deep breath and let out a big sigh and stopped crying right away and has not cried at all since. Gary said he is a VERY peaceful baby! He made mention that by doing this he cleared a lot of the baby's DNA encoding. Gary made a blend of oils up for Mary and had her put this blend vaginally and topically for 3 weeks before her delivery. The oils used were Myrrh, Meleleuca, roman Chamomile lavender and Helichrysum. He put it in a spray bottle and had Mary spray it on Neat 3 times a day. He had her continue spraying it on after the delivery and she had NO swelling whatsoever and had a very easy delivery. He said this blend is great for Endomitriosis as well. During Mary's labor, at one point she was 5 cm dilated and 80% effaced (is that what you call this?) He asked Mary if she was ready to give birth of course he said he knew what her answer would be! So he gave her 1 capsule of Clary Sage with 3 drops of peppermint in it and within 23 minutes she was at 10 cm and 100% effaced and then within 23 minutes the bay was in Gary's arms!!! Gary said he also rubbed more Frankincense on the baby's head to reshape his little head with working his sutures as the doctor stood by watching. The doctor was amazed watching the baby's head change into what Gary said was the head of a 6 day old baby. He said this would prevent baby headaches and headaches in his later life too. Gary also told us about this blend he made up for pain which he used on Mary's lower back form the pressure of the baby. He used 1/2 Vetiver and 1/2 Valerian and added 1/4 Helichrysum. He said it stopped Mary's pain immediately. Gary also shared with us another blend he had made up for himself from a dislocated shoulder injury which he said was causing deterioration to his rotator cuff. He used Vetiver, Valerian and Idaho Tansy. He said it reduced his pain by up to 85%. he made this blend up in equal proportions. These are the notes I took as he was speaking about it. If I missed anything and anyone else was on this call please feel free to add anything else. By the way this call was for Master Stars and above so if you did not know about it this is why. - Shimai Sunday, February 08, 2004 6:17 PM RE: OT: YL And I will add something here too. Guest guest
And the baby is still alive?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Scary Young, that's his name, and what is even scarier is that people believe him. Sorry, but when it comes to helpless babies (especially newborns, but all babies in general) I get defensive.
