A few years back we ran a commercial trial of creams in jars using B. citriodora, one of the more potent antimicrobial EO. Even Bc wasn't sufficient to prevent degradation from `dirty' fingers. Better way to go is using tubes. Does mean you have to go to a manufacturer, but helps to reduce contamination problems. Hi Dennis: Am I right thinking that you used creams - something with a water phase - in your test? The product I'm hoping will work - the silica - eliminates the need for a water phase, hence no microbes from that source. I have firm faith ath the B. citriodora works in eliminating molds and mildews in the air and on surfaces, but you're right, it might not hold up to constant reintroduction of microbes, as in a cream. Nobody has replied to my questions about the silica :-( Wonder if this stuff will work... http://member.newsguy.com/~herblady
