Guest guest
not a problem Butch :-) .. it'll smell all the better and sweeter when it gets here :-) Pam E Web Express - Web Design & Hosting http://www.ewebexpress.com TLC Naturally - Essential Oils & Home Made Goodies http://www.tlcnaturally.com - Butch Owen Wednesday, February 04, 2004 3:12 AM OT: Delay in Shipping Orders Hey y'all, Whilst Margaret is writing folks who I think are not on this list .. I figured I could notify a buncha folks who I know are on this list .. of why we haven't shipped orders via FedEx this week. And why you have not been notified the last 2 days of actual shipping costs for FedEx orders. The reason is .. Friendsville is snowed in! Of my three employees .. Karen hasn't made it in since the middle of last week .. she lives higher than the others and the roads in her rural area are closed. Tammy missed half of last week .. and made it in Monday but had to leave yesterday at noon to get back home .. and didn't make it in today due to the roads between Deep Lake and Friendsville being closed. So she has not notified anyone of actual shipping costs via FedEx for the last day and a half. Margaret has made it to work each day .. she 4-wheels it and she is a tough lady anyway. Orders are filled cause Margaret's sister, Sandy, has come in to help her .. and they are waiting for pickup .. but .. FedEx has not been able to get in a single day this week. The US Post Office was closed some days last week and one day this week. It is open today and planned to be open tomorrow .. so the light weight orders are going out the door .. its the heavy ones that are delayed. The county says roads will be open tomorrow .. they're working on it all night tonight. But if it starts snowing again tonight, my thoughts are that the work will be in vain .. to some degree .. because Friendsville is in a valley and surrounded by mountains. Approaching it from any direction you are looking DOWN .. which means you had to get UP to be there to look down. ;-P The Appalachian Mountains are beautiful .. the air is clean .. wildlife is abundant .. and prices are relatively inexpensive .. no doubt about the benefits .. but living there also has negative consequences. Bottom line .. we're missing our 48 hours maximum time to get some orders out and though there is nothing we can do about it, I still apologize for the inconvenience. Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com Step By Step Instructions On Making Rose Petal Preserves: http://www.av-at.com/stuff/rosejam.html To adjust your group settings (i.e. go no mail) see the following link: /join
