Guest guest
Hey there, Just looking for advice from any of you who have a small, sole proprietor business. Do you use an accountant for your taxes? We used ourselves last year, and we just aren't sure we are doing ourselves justice by doing that, although we really don't want to pay an acct. either -- they are really expensive here in Massachusetts. We used a computer tax program last year, Turbo Tax. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks, Debbie deb Unique and luxurious Valentine's Day specials http://www.debrasrhapsody.com/rhapsody/specials.php
Guest guest
We use a personal accountant. In our experience the first year we used him he charged more than he did in the subsequent years due to the work he put into creating a database for us and then the following years he had a foundation to work from and just had to make appropriate changes. I think he was worth it because we had to work with two different state tax systems plus federal and he gave us some basic pointers on how to make what we might owe in future years less of a burden. For instance he spotted that my husband had not followed up his address change at work therefore our tax withholdings were way off (that was a painful lesson).
