Guest guest
Butch - First of all thank you very much for your comments. You bring up some very good points. ---------- Its not unusual for 7 year old kids to have a short attention span .. even if they like the subject they're dealing with. If they are bored by the subject .. or the teacher (either of which are likely) then that attention span becomes even shorter. If the teacher is already telling you your daughter has problems sticking to tasks .. then its likely the teacher and your daughter aren't in sync to begin with .. and possible it will get worse. ---------- It is very likely that boredom is a factor here. Kendra (my daughter)is a very good reader. In fact she's in the advanced reading group in 2nd grade and reads at a 4th grade level. I have no doubt that she can do the required work. She has always been the type of child to not be in a hurry to get anything done. Does most everything on her own time so to speak. (Bugs the hell out of me sometimes !!!LOL) So I suspect what is happening is that some of the other kids are getting their work done much quicker than she and then are allowed free time while the others finish and instead of sticking to the work Kendra gets distracted by those that are done and would rather watch them. ------------------ So .. I doubt if any oil that can increase your daughter's attention span if any of the above apply. Howsomever, there is no question that short-term memory can be improved by simply sniffing Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) .. Cineole Chemotype. Your daughter might be way ahead of what they are teaching her .. only you can detect that. Good luck .. and keep smiling. :-) ------------ Like you implied there is probably no miracle cure for this situation in a little amber bottle. We'll be working on other things too. But, I thought it might help the process along a little bit. Thanks again for your help! Jen SiteBuilder - Free web site building tool. Try it! I was reading, writing and doing basic math before I started school .. but in first grade, my teacher (Mrs. Banks) reported to my mother that I was too immature to be in school (I was 6). After completion of the 2d grade the school recommended I skip to the 4th but my mother didn't go along with it .. so Mrs. Banks was wrong. During 9th grade I refused to learn algebra and geometry because the teacher, self-styled aristocrat (Mrs. Harper) looked down on those she saw as lowly peasants .. like me and a couple of others .. and it came through loud and clear when she made comments like .. some social classes have difficulty with abstract concepts. I skated through the two courses with D's though I kept a A average in other subjects. Later, I taught both subjects to myself and it was pretty danged easy. So ..
