Hydrolyzed Oat Flour

HOF - Naturally derived from oat flour provides unique

characteristics to hair and skin care formulations. In skin care,

HOF imparts a luxurious emolliency and silky feel to lotions and

creams and also provides added stability and viscosity. HOF can

also been used in hair care formulas to create silky feeling

shampoos. Usage Rate: .5%-2%. Physical Form: Off-white Powder,

Odorless

hydrocolloid with unique characteristics as follows:

Emulsion stabilizing properties

This is a Fastbuy pre-buy meaning that the product has not been

ordered yet. I will take orders for 2½ weeks then will order the

product. This should take a week to a week and a half to arrive at

my door where I will then package and send out. Everyone will be

My experience with HOF is TWO THUMBS UP! This product creates a

very velvety/silky feel in lotions/creams.

After testing with this ingredient, I will be incorporating it into

my Forever After Line. Usage rate is so low though, that I may not

be doing another fast buy on this for a long time.

 

I am also looking into doing a Fastbuy Prebuy on Kojic Acid. This

one is up in the air unless there is enough interest.

 

Because Kojic acid inhibits skin melanin formation, kojic acid and

its derivatives widely used in high-quality skin lightening

cosmetics. Cosmetics containing kojic acid can treat freckle, acne,

pigmentation and macula effectively without any toxic and bad

results. Lightens overall complexion and corrects uneven skin tone.

At present, kojic acid's use level added in cosmetics is to O.2-1.0

percent. Recommended usage level: .2%.

 

This ingredient is VERY expensive but those who have been looking

for this ingredient may already know this. Just to buy a product

already made with Kojic acid you are looking at $25 or more per

tube. If enough interest is generated then I will be able to buy

the Kilo which is the minimum. Eight ounces are already spoken for

so we have 26oz available. If you are interested in buying some of

this ingredient, please let me know via email and I can let you know

if the fast buy on this ingredient will still be going thru (meaning

minimum has been met).

 

Added Information: Kojic Acid can be very unstable in

formulations. In order for Kojic acid to retain its properties and

work effectively, it must be added to a low PH emulsion (a PH of

3). You can successfully achieve this if you have a good PH meter.

Also, Kojic Acid is very light and air sensitive. When packaged, it

will be packaged in a very dark plastic bag. This ingredient must

be incorporated at the end of your emulsion phase and must be

quickly packaged in a dark container. If these steps are not taken,

oxidization will occur which can turn your emulsion orangey/brown.

When product is not in use, keep stored in plastic bag that it comes

in closed tightly. This product (Kojic Acid) is for the serious

formulator.
