Guest guest
Michael, It's a matter of personal preference on the jasmine. I like Grandiflorum _much_ better than sambac. To me, sambac is heavier, not as true as the grandiflorum. I know one gal uses the sambac along with another eo as her perfume and it smells wonderful on her, but I like the other. It's definitely a matter of preference. Janine Phariss http://www.BlueSageNaturals.com Problem Skin? Solutions here...
Guest guest
Hey Michael, > Hope I didn't get anyone in trouble in Maryland. To their credit, > they have forwarded technical questions to you more than once. They are not at all in trouble .. I need them to make the company work. I can't do their job and they can't do mine .. we do it as a team. But I reminded them to not answer technical questions about EO and NEVER any questions about therapeutics because I am not sure that some ringer is not gonna call up and ask the kinds of things that I would recognize as coming from a ringer. I get emails like that from time to time .. and being a suspicious minded ex-cop to begin with .. I smell ringer often. Not sure if its a gummit person .. or a YL person .. but after nine years in the business I know how to answer without answering. ;-P My folks in Maryland have a tough job .. I don't want to make it tougher by asking them to do things they're not qualified to do. And while I'm on that .. I wrote most folks and told them we are gonna be a day late maybe getting orders out from the weekend .. Margaret was the only one to get to work today .. FedEx appears to be grounded and I'm not sure if the Postal folks will get in. We have some snow in them thar Appalachian Mountains. > Is there a difference between jasmine sambac and grandiflorum? Why do > you like sambac? Different species .. like the various Eucalyptus .. I like J. sambac cause to me it smells much nicer than J. grandiflorum .. and its the one of choice for perfumery. Both are nice but side by side you can see a difference in a heartbeat. As for Jasmine Hydrosols .. rare and in my opinion .. and commercially non-existent as its not a common practice for commercial operations to try to lose money. But there are some out and about. Why is Jasmine not steam distilled? Because the fine top notes are destroyed with steam distillation .. if no distillation .. no Hydrosol. > Michael Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com >>Its really better to come to me for information and orders instead >>of to my folks in Maryland. They have little to no knowledge of >>essential oils/absolutes .. its not their job to know.
