Hi Peggy,

Sorry I have taken so long to reply, but I have been trying to get a Le Reve

price list so that I can share some of the information with you.

First of all, I have been to a Le Reve party. Basically the oils are OK, not

great, but way overpriced.

I am trying to remember , I think it is the eucalyptus, that they mix with

cedarwood, as they say that eucalyptus by itself is dangerous.

The oils are sold on party plan, and the night I went to check it out, a

rather overweight woman was asked if she would like a footbath.

At 8.30 at night she had her feet placed in a footbath of rosemary, lemon

and peppermint. I spoke to her at a later date and she had not got to sleep

until 4 in the morning! I felt the presenter had enthusiasm, but scant

knowledge of essential oils, but then, what shop assistant who sells them

has much more.

The company puts out a book which is sold at the parties, explaining the

uses for each oil and blends and it is quite good.

I am a member of the New Zealand Register of Holistic Aromatherapists, and I

was asked to share my experience with the committee, as there was concern.

The gentleman in charge of the company in NZ listened to what the NZROHA had

about selling essential oils without adequate training, and he agreed, and I

was told that there was more training going on. Now, this information is

second hand, but there you go.

I feel that as there are so many outlets for buying essential oils, buyers

can check out the prices in health food stores, or most apartment stores,

and make their own decisions. I have to say that some of the blends they

make are quite nice, and I have made up their romance blend with my great

oils I use, and it was lovely My sister in law sells them, and offered me

some. I politely declined.

It seems to me that young mothers who are at home with children are able to

earn a little extra by putting on these parties. I guess it is up to the

purchaser as to whether they are prepared to buy a bottle of lavender for

$27, when they can get it elsewhere for $15-$22.

Hope this helps

Kind regards

Jeanine
