Guest guest
Is it the unrefined shea butter that people are using in soap....I've never used shea butter but I'm thinking of trying it in a batch. What qualities does it give to the soap? Peggy www.splendidsoap.com go and check out Margarets at her site http://www.naturalindulgences.com/ So my friends, if you haven't tried Margarets heavenly unrefined sheabutter, hurry over to her place and get a jar of it - you won't regret it. Yeahhh, I'm blantantly advertising here, but Maragret is such a wonderful friend, so I just can't help myself ;-) Fragrant Blessings, Ylva Step By Step Instructions On Making Rose Petal Preserves: http://www.av-at.com/stuff/rosejam.html To adjust your group settings (i.e. go no mail) see the following link: /join ----------
Guest guest
Hi Peggy, I've used both types of shea butter myself. The trick with unrefined shea butter is to superfat with it. If you use it or refined in the base recipe itself, it lends a beautiful creamy lather to a very moisturizing bar of soap. Definately give it a try in a batch!
