Guest guest
And what y'all think about Explorer? I mean .. y'all that have to do lots and lots of emails every day and keep a few thousand files. Is it user friendly? I use Explorer and it is ok but it is subject to every wilda$$ mother's child out there who wants to play with virii and that kinda crap. As I said, try Mozilla. And if that doesnt work, get out the 9mm. I hate PCs. Butch :-( Poor Butch. ( Me too. Smiles Neysa

Guest guest
Well, being sort of a pc nerd myself .... you problem is NETSCAPE - ditch that puppy !! and gads I hope you didn't let AOL swallow your registry too! Netscape and AOL hog the whole system ... hide little bitty files in places normal folks don't dare to go and control everything!! They're out to destroy America - I know it!!! LOL Time for you to upgrade my friend - don't go to Win 2000 - jump right up to XP PRO - you'll love it and you'll never look back. BUT if you don't...and you have to go with Win 98 or one higher....I would strongly .. no I insist.... REFORMAT that sucker - yeah, you'll lose some stuff - but if you don't - at this point - your system will slowly only get worse....and the fatal death of the BLUE SCREEN will swallow you whole! ps....the above advise is simply my 2 cents.... :-) it is not approved by the FDA, ISO, NASA nor SUN :-) Pam E Web Express - Web Design & Hosting http://www.ewebexpress.com Wednesday, January 21, 2004 5:28 AM OT: I Hate PCs Hi y'all, I hate PCs .. but like lots of other things in life we gotta live with them .. I reckon. :-( Today was one'a them butt kicking days .. I rather work all day in a baccer patch .. load hay .. march forty-leven miles with a full field pack .. and I would be less exhausted than when I gotta hang around a computer young nerd who is messing with my computer and me knowing that as soon as he fixes one thing he's gonna mess up something else. Young PC nerd was here all day .. and the boy made me kinda intense. I ran his butt out at around 10 tonight .. told him to come back Thursday. Netscape 4.3 was moving like a slug. So I used Maintenance Wizard 4-5 times but still it would NOT let me see many emails and any forwards and it would not even draw up my web site on I-Net. So I ordered me a dang Systems Suite 5 and Power Desk System for $79 or whatever .. loaded it and it took over my PC .. wouldn't even let me get enough juice from the I-Net to send or get mail. So I unloaded that rascal. I been using the old PC (Netscape Dinosaur Version 3.0) beside me to see my own web site. Means the problem's in my newer PC .. methinks. But the dude said the problem was because I was using Netscape 4.3 .. so he came and loaded Netscape 7 .. and I hate it because it doesn't allow my OLD OLD FILES to be seen .. they are followed by a ?? So I ran his butt off and told him to come back on Thursday. I needed a break. So now I have Netscape 4.3 and Netscape 7 and the accompanying email programs for both .. loaded. I hate the email program for Netscape 7. It is NOT user friendly .. the crap is in the WRONG place .. I want to shoot my PC and Bill Gates and the PC nerd who came here today. I am disregarding the Netscape 7 email program now .. but it keeps trying to jump up and control things .. keep having to knock it back down again. I'm now using the old Netscape 4.3 email program. And the Netscape 7 browser is not working well as long as I keep Netscape 4.3 email program on line. All in all .. I'm using .. Netscape 4.3 for email Netscape 3.0 on the other (old) PC for browsing I-Net Explorer on this newer PC for browsing And disregarding the browsers of Netscape 4.3 and Netscape 7 And everything together .. works like crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm using Windows 98 .. so .. I reckon that Thursday I gotta upgrade to Windows 2000 and then reload all over and start again. ;-( What y'all think? Do I need to sacrifice something? Or mebbe do a pilgrimage? Or money in the poor box? What's the solution? And what y'all think about Explorer? I mean .. y'all that have to do lots and lots of emails every day and keep a few thousand files. Is it user friendly? All this got me behind big time .. so I started doing orders .. then around 2 AM (little more than an hour ago) I decided to quit and have a toddy so I could sleep without doing what keeps coming to my mind .. that is putting about 10 rounds of 9 MM in this danged mochine .. throwing the keys down on the desk .. walking the hell out and going fishing for mebbe two-three years. What y'all > think? Way back when God was a pup, and I was selling computers (1983-ish) there was a huge commotion in the repair shop... seems some guy brought in a Tandy Model 4 with a shotgun shell lodged in Drive A. All the techs were taking pictures and laughing so hard they could hardly stand up! I usually recommend kicking the machine in question, but in this case, how 'bout kicking the young tech? Sounds infinitely more satisfying ;-) I was forced off Netscape 4.3 by time and other software and my husband, Netscape 7.0 was a disaster and we are on explorer now. I was used to explorer as all the corporations I have worked for used it, but I still don't like it. Maybe you should use if for your browser and use something like Eudora for your email? Good luck.
