Guest guest
G'day Peggy and Butch. I've heard of them, and have second hand reports, but no direct dealings. Certainly they are a `party' type organisation. As for TGA, there is a website http://www.health.gov.au/tga which has more information than you probably need! TGA is the body if medicinal claims are being made, while a separate part of TGA - CMEC (Complimentary Medicines Evaluation Committee) - is the body which gives rulings for products which include herbs, essential oils and carrier oils. Products that have been evaluated by either of these bodies are either `registered' or `listed' on the ARTG (Australian Register of therapeutic Goods). Then there is NICNAS (National Industrial Chemicals Notification and Assessment Scheme), and this body has input as to chemicals (eg EO) in cosmetics. Keeping up with all of these is constant, but does reduce one's time in the pub, so that has to be healthy. I think.
