Guest guest
Hi Misty: I'm new here too and I feel like I'm in the same place...a beginner, because even though I've used them in my soaps for a few years, I've only focused on their scent. Whether or not I liked this one with that one, or these six with a little of this one, etc. One question that I have is that when buying the oils...what size. I use them so fast in my soaps that I don't worry about this...Should I get what I can reasonably use in a couple of years or can I buy more and not worry about using it in a specified time.... or is it different with differnet oils. For example I want to buy some or the pricier oils for just my own use...example: Jasmine....should I buy the smallest or get more for my money and go with a larger one. I'm currently reading Guide to Aromatherapy by Julia Lawless and plan to move onto to an herb book for health remedies, etc. Hopefully I'll branch out into cooking and growing my own as I learn more. I look forward to learning as much as I can. I'm excited to find a group that has so much participation on the subject. If any of you have reading/learning/starting out suggestions for a beginner, I'd love to hear them! I'm 28 and live in Colorado, btw, just for a little bit of personal info. Guest guest
Hi Peggy and thanks for the welcome. On your question, I've been told that it just depends on the " shelf life " of some herbs. That just like with vitamins, it depends on how long the herbs keep their potency. I'm sure there's someone here that will know the definate answer though. Misty Peggy Lowell <plowell wrote: One question that I have is that when buying the oils...what size.
