FDA approval

My doctor was taking an FDA approved medication for narcolepsy, but from

what he told me, the medication gave him heart disease and finally a heart

attack. He can no longer take the medication so he can't work because he would

be falling asleep at his desk. On the one hand, the drug gave him many years

that he was able to work without falling asleep at his desk...but it did end up

hurting him and now my very kind and compassionate doctor is out on disability.

It has been a great loss to me. Anyway, my point is that this drug was tested

for toxicity and safety by the FDA.
