Hi y'all,

 

I can tell you about Vitex but I'd rather just send you a bunch of posts

on the subject.

 

First - lemme say that though I am THE major source for Vitex agnus

castus Leaf and Fruit (there really is no berry .. though they call it

berry oil) Essential Oil .. and Vitex Fruit Hydrosol, and I sell it to

those who are aware of the issues .. I am not ready to make any claims

on Vitex as I am still waiting for the jury to come in with a FINAL

verdict. There are many verdicts out now but I will not say that any

of the research that has been done is actually scientific research. Nor

do I expect to see any.

 

There is one heckuva lotta empirical evidence on use of the herb and now

on the EO - and I continue to see good results from the ladies who work

for me here in Turkey - but if one views my website, they will find no

claims on any essential oil. You will find no claims by me in any of

the posts I am about to send .. but I sell a lot of Vitex and I have a

lot of testimonals sent to me .. those sent to other lists I can share

but not those sent to me. If anyone on this list wants to volunteer

information pro or con .. please do.

 

I used to have eight ladies working here in Turkey .. now there are two

as I am closing out the operation. All the ladies in my office were

sniffing Vitex at the onset of the menstruation .. one of them used to

have a terrible time - she would miss work, swell up, have cramps and

pains, etc. But she no longer has those problems - first time in her

life. How should I read that?

 

Last year I sent a rather organized series of posts on Vitex to this

list

but the 2003 archives are gone now and my copies are in a PC that is not

functional except as a file drawer for me.

 

I'll tell you what I know about Vitex and send you a bunch of posts on

it but I am not yet ready to draw conclusions that I would present as I

don't like to pass along unproven info - even though I have a strong

personal opinion. I am not waiting for solid scientific data .. I doubt

we will see that on any essential oil unless some commercial outfit or a

major pharmaceutical company wants to work up a patent .. and even then

I doubt if the information will be shared with anyone besides the AMA

and FDA.

 

Early results appeared to show that the Vitex leaf and the mixed Vitex

Leaf and Fruit oil were getting the best results .. from sniffing - I am

not gonna talk about ingestion now except to say that I told my ladies

did NOT do it - period! The fruit/berry appears to be much stronger -

more potent .. and some are finding great results with it.

 

Both are very concentrated oils .. even with distilling the leaves, we

get less than a kilogram of oil with one metric ton of material - that

is potent.

 

The Vitex agnus castus Fruit Hydrosol I have now is the first in the US.

Many have bought it .. and returned for more. Barbara Lucks is using it

in her research now .. as well as the Turkish Leaf and Fruit EO.
