Guest guest
Speaking of Vitex and Menopause, Herb Pharm makes a Pulsatilla/Vitex Compound, which is available as a tincture that my herb teacher would recommend for menopausal women as a tonic. She said she would add it to her portion of soup daily. Here is what they say about their compound: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ " Pulsatilla Vitex Compound by Herb Pharm is indicated in relieving the endocrine, somatic, and emotional symptoms associated with menopause and ovarian insufficiency, such as, fatigue & lassitude, insomnia, nervousness, irritability or depression, heart palpitations, hot flushes and sweating. Chaste tree berries help restore a normal estrogen/progesterone balance by increasing luteinizing hormone production and inhibiting the release of follicle stimulating hormone. The fresh plant tincture of Pulsatilla is used to calm nervous disorders associated with menopause, PMS or insomnia. Pulsatilla - Vitex Compound contains the following organically grown and naturally harvested herbs. Dried Chaste Tree berry Fresh Pulsatilla flowering herb Dried Motherwort flowering tops Dried Black Cohosh rhizome & roots Dried Licorice root " ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com
